The .org domain is about to be sold to a private equity firm.
We must join the coalition of nonprofits and to oppose to this dangerous disregard of the public interest.
According THIS POST three families have come together to buy .ORG.
They are all American and they are all Republican.
They are all American and they are all Republican.
Lets help stop the sale of Public Interest Registry to a Private Equity Firm.
We must stop the sale of the Public Interest Registry (PIR) to Ethos Capital.
Non-governmental organizations all over the world rely on the .ORG top-level domain.
Decisions affecting .ORG must be made with the consultation of the NGO community, overseen by a trusted community leader.
If the Internet Society (ISOC) can no longer be that leader, it should work with the NGO community and the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to find an appropriate replacement.
ICANN can still block the deal to sell off the .org top level domain.
If you feel that the commercialization of the Internet has gone too far, sign the letter:
STOP THE SALE OF DotOrg TO PRIVATE FIRM
